Your everyday human life will be the laboratory as we explore the myth of the separate self\, unexplored trauma patterns\, and everyday living of the deepest teachings of nondual reality. \nOur focus for this meeting is on two truths about awakening. You may notice that your mind comes up with ideas about what awakening is. Our thoughts project into the future\, creating stories and images about what this experience will or should be like.  \nAnd when we believe these ideas\, we’re in a state of lack—believing we’re missing out on this experience of awakening and desperately hoping it will occur at some time in the future. The mind is always operating in the realm of concepts—and awakened awareness is known only by direct experience\, unmediated by the mind.  \nThis means we need to be aware of the mind’s conceptualizing function and know not to believe it. Then we’re poised to turn our attention toward the infinite source of all. \nAnother truth about awakening is that it already is the reality of our experience. It is simply masked by our attachment to the content of our thinking.  \nWe don’t become anything…rather\, we realize what is already true here and now. Awakened awareness is eternally present\, outside of the concept of time\, prior to birth and death and the arising of all objects. \nThis means we don’t need to move one millimeter from where we are to know the truth of our being. \nThrough guided meditation\, practical guidance\, and heartfelt conversation\, we’ll explore these two essential truths about awakening.
